Court Visits
The students are encouraged to visit trial courts and High courts and understand the real mode of court practices in addition to the Moot courts and mock trials conducted by the college. Thus MZLC is in effect a unique institution to have understood the needs of the student community and organize the outreach programmes accordingly.
Monthly Activities.
Every Month before 10th the activities of the college are being evaluated by the Academic board.
Legal Aid Clinic
A full fledged Legal Aid Clinic functions at the Mount Zion Law College under the guidance of a Faculty member. Legal awareness programmes were held in Mallappally Panchayath post flood in2018 by the members which was widely appreciated by KELSA.
Moot Court
Moot court is an arena where consistency, confidence and competence counts and a well equipped moot court hall is our asset. MZLC organizes an internal moot court competition every semester to train the students and to equip them with the court craft and litigation skills. The students of the college have participated in various State wide competitions, workshops, Seminars, Client counseling competititions etc. organized by various law colleges.
Extra Curricular Activities
MZLC observes important days and inculcates its value among the students. The students of the college actively participates in Mahatma Gandhi University youth festival and have won several prizes for various events. There are national team members also in sports events from the college. The students union also organises Arts day, Christmas celebration and Onam celebration which gives a venue to display the organising abilities, leadership skills and the talents of the students.
Grievance Redressal Cell
As per the UGC regulations, MZLC has constituted a Grievance Redressal Cell to address the problems faced by the students. A Grievance Redresssal cell is constituted by the Head of theInstitution, and also members of the Parent Teachers Association.The Cell primarily covers the receipt and processing of complaints from students,and takes actions on issues raised by them.
Anti Ragging Cell
Ragging in all its forms is totally banned in Mount Zion Law College and al its premises.(academic,residential,sports,cafeteria,etc.) whether located within the campus or outside and in all means of transportation of students whether public or private. The College shall take strict action like cancellation of admission against those found guilty of ragging and/or of abetting ragging and the burden of proof shall hereby lie on the perpetrator of alleged ragging and not on the victim. An offence of ragging maybe charged either on a written complaint by the affected or on independent finding of the Anti-Ragging Cell.
